Duran Duran Nació En 1978 En Birmingham Inglaterra . Sus Fundadores Fueron Nick Rhodes John Taylor Simon Colley Y Stephen Duffy. El Nombre De Duran Duran Fue Tomado Del Personaje Que Interpretaba Milo O'Shea En La Película De Ciencia-Ficción Barbarella Protagonizada Por Jane Fonda. En 1979 Colley Y Duffy Son Sustituídos Por El Cantante Andy Wicket Y El Batería Roger Taylor. Además Gracias A Un Anuncio Aparecido En Prensa Eligen A Andy Taylor Como Nuevo Guitarrista De La Banda. Poco Tiempo Después Wickett Es Sustituído Por Simon Le Bon Con Lo Que Completaba La Formación Definitiva De Duran Duran. En 1981 Aparece El Primer Sencillo De Duran Duran "Planet Earth". El Grupo Aparecía Englobado En Lo Que Se Denominaban Los "nuevos Románticos" Junto A Bandas Como Spandau Ballet Visage O Depeche Mode Entre Otros. Unos Meses Después Aparece El Primer Álbum De La Banda Británica Con El Título De "Duran Duran". En 1982 Publican Su Segundo Álbum Titulado "Rio" Uno De Sus Discos De Más Éxito Con Temas Como "Hungry Like The Wolf" "Save A Prayer" Y "Rio" Entre Otros Que Consiguieron Un Gran Éxito. Un Año Después Aparece El Sencillo "The Union Of The Snake" Un Adelanto Del Que Sería Su Nuevo Álbum "Seven And The Raged Tiger" Publicado En 1984. A Raiz De Este Disco Duran Duran Inició Una Gira Mundial Que Sirvió Para Que El Grupo Editara Un Álbum En Directo Titulado "Arena". En 1985 Duran Duran Realiza El Tema De La Película De James Bond "Panorama Para Matar" Titulado "A Wiew To A Kill". Un Año Después Andy Y Roger Taylor Abandonan La Banda Con Lo Que Duran Duran Queda Conformado Como Un Trío. De Esta Manera Graban Un Nuevo Disco Titulado "Notorious". En 1988 Se Unen A La Banda Inglesa El Guitarrista Warren Cuccurullo Y El Batería Sterling Campbell. Con Esta Formación Duran Duran Publica El Álbum "Big Thing" En El Que Destacan Los Temas "I Don't Want Your Love" Y "All She Wants Is". Un Año Después Editan Un Recopilatorio Titulado "Decade". En 1993 Publican El Sencillo "Ordinary World" Tras Varios Años Fuera Del Panorama Musical. Con Este Tema Duran Duran Vuelve A Lo Más Alto De Las Listas De Éxitos Y Les Sirve Para Lanzar El Álbum "Duran Duran The Wedding Album ". En 1995 Publican Un Álbum Con Versiones De Temas Clásicos Y Al Que Bautizaron Como "Thank You". En Este Trabajo Se Incluían Temas De De Bob Dylan The Doors Y Lou Reed Entre Otros. En 1997 Aparece El Tema "Out Of My Mind" Que Sería El Tema Principal De La Banda Sonora De La Película "El Santo" Con Val Kilmer Como Protagonista. Ese Mismo Año Publican "Medazzaland". En El Año 1998 Aparece Un Recopilatorio De Todos Sus Grandes Éxitos Con El Título De "Greatest Hits" Y En El 2000 Aparece "Pop Trash" En El Que Se Adentran En Nuevos Sonidos Con Un Resultado Incierto. En Mayo De 2001 Warren Cuccurullo Abandona Duran Duran Para Volver Con Su Antigua Banda. En El 2004 Los Cinco Integrantes De La Formación Original Se Unieron Para Celebrar El Aniversario De Duran Duran Con La Publicación De Un Nuevo Álbum Titulado "Astronaut". El 25 De Octubre Del 2006 Andy Taylor Abandona El Grupo Por Llevar Mala Relación Con La Banda. El Resto De Los Miembros De Duran Duran Continúan Activos Y Con El Mismo Nombre. Durante El Verano De 2007 Participan En El Concierto En Memoría De Diana De Gales Y En Los Conciertos De Live Earth Para Concienciar Al Mundo De La Crisis Del Cambio Climático. “Girls On Film“ Is About The Exploitation Of Fashion Models Who Must Deal With Dehumanizing Shoots In A Frenzied Environment Where They Are Objectified For The Masses. The Group Was Known For Dating Models So They Had Plenty Of Firsthand Accounts To Draw From. It Was Written By The Five Members Of The Band. A Track From The Band's First Album This Was Duran Duran's Third Single. It Would Be Another Year Before They Had Any Impact In America But In England They Had A Swift Rise As Leaders Of The New Romantic Movement And Answer To The Rebellious And Politically Indignant Punk And Two-Tone Movements Of The '70s.
